Doyle on Lawton's accomplishmemts
Governor Jim Doyle, who met with reporters this afternoon and announced his full support for legislation requiring DNA samples be taken at the time of all felony arrests in Wisconsin, took some additional questions as well.
Asked to comment on “the accomplishments of Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton over the last eight years,” Doyle offered a rather tepid assessment, which probably fits the definition of damming with faint praise.
Doyle also insisted that he’s not seeking candidates to oppose Lawton in a Democratic primary: “I’m not the recruiting agency. People make their own decisions.”
