Decker holds press avail

State Senate Majority Leader Russ Decker held a press availability with Capitol media in his office today. Decker touched in a number of issues, including tougher OWI penalties (he doesn’t see what the hang-up is between versions passed by the Senate and Assembly), mayoral governance of Milwaukee Public Schools (a tough sell), the Pew Center on the States report (Decker hadn’t seen it, but said the state’s fiscal situation is improving), and a potential veto override of the DNR secretary bill (he doesn’t think the Assembly has the votes.)
